If I had a hammer

Seeger, Pete 1919-2014 (composer.). Hays, Lee, 1914-1981 (composer.). Keelan-Bishop, Marc, (illustrator.). TumbleTunes (Musical group), (performer.). TumbleBook Library, (publisher.).

Summary: An anthem for the American Civil Rights movement, If I Had A Hammer was written by Pete Seeger and Lee Hays (both from the folk music group, The Weavers) in 1949. The song reached it's height of popularity in the 1960's when it was recorded by Peter, Paul & Mary. If I Had A Hammer is a song of hope; with a hammer, bell and a song, danger would end, all people would love one another and there would be justice for all regardless of people's race, religion or gender.
